Bantham to North Sands: 10.5 Miles

200.00

Bantham to North Sands: 10.5 Miles is a record of a recent hike along the South West Coast Path, and a comment on ocean plastics. Photographs, photograms and Electron Microscopy images are interspersed together and bound with threads of plastic rope found on the beaches during my journey. The photograms are made using plastics found along the walk, and salt extracted from the sea at North Sands. The images of the micro plastics (including mircofibres and microbeads) are courtesy of Imogen Napper, the International Marine Litter Research Unit at Plymouth University and Plymouth Electron Microscopy Centre.

The book was made as part of my residency with the Marine Institute at Plymouth University and created as part of my creative experimentation in the early stages of Mapping in an Ever Moving Now.

Published by As Yet Untitled in May 2018, Bantham to North Sands: 10.5 Miles is published a limited edition of 10, made to order.
